Our Rich History

Having just celebrated 125th of Girls' Brigade, it is only fitting that we now formalise our rich and broad history and gather these precious memories into one protected archive.

It is our hope that over the next couple of years, we can build a wonderful resource which will not only be of great interest to members but which will aid future GB historians to understand the origins of The Girls’ Brigade and the stories of the people involved.

What we are looking for

  • Photographs (slides, hard copy or digital images)
  • Video (can be any format such as Cine, VHS etc.)
  • Old badges, trophies, medals, flashes etc.
  • Old uniforms of interest
  • Documents of interest such as programmes or pamphlets
  • Flags, Banners and Colours
  • Old equipment, such as skipping ropes, clubs etc.
  • Memories! If you you have stories or can remember people or events please write them down or record them.
